26 Mill Hollow Road The cottage at 26 Mill Hollow Road was originally built as a one-room-home during the 1880s (right side with the peaked roof). Additions were made prior to 1930. The original well site is now located in the bathroom beneath the shelves.
The first record of a tornado touching down in Eureka was in the 1930's when it dipped down and took the roof off this cottage.
Riding her bicycle into Eureka Springs during the 1950's. a retired school teacher/artist, Abbie O'Dell, bought the cottage. She wallpapered the walls with photos of movie stars from that era. Her paintings occasionally show up in local antique shops.

In the early 1980's, Glenn Wallis, Eureka's eccentric gardener/artist, who designed the rock gardens at historic Sweet Springs, Harding Springs and 11 Singleton House Bed & Breakfast's America In Bloom award winning garden, resided in the cottage and put in the front rock pathway, thus we chose the present day name . . . THE GARDENER'S COTTAGE. The flower shaped porch rails were designed by the folk artist Min Lindsey,a former art professor, who lived in Eureka in the 1980's.
